The Curse of the Vampire’s Socks and Other Doggerel is a book of humorous poems by Terry Jones. For years, we also had an audio cassette (the poems read by the author — the kids loved to listen to it in the car), which eventually died, as cassettes do. I hope one day it will be re-issued on CD. My favourite poems are Laurie Oliphant, A Scottish Mystery, Algernon the Viking and Drusilla Quill. (Here, it could be nice to include some hyperlinks but, amazingly, there’s almost nothing available online. I was able to find the opening poem, The Revolt of the Clothes, thanks to this, probably defunct, blog.)
